Parysatis
wife of Darius II; mother of Artaxerxes II and Cyrus the Younger
The royal wife and king's mother identified by modern scholarship with the Babylonian Purušatu. Ctesian tradition makes her a daughter of Artaxerxes I and the wife and half-sister of Darius II; Xenophon independently names her as mother of Artaxerxes II and Cyrus the Younger.
